'Avatar' Publishing Deal Reached for 2025 and 2026
Exciting news, everyone! Due to the continued partnership between Lightstorm and DK, it has been officially announced that we’ll be seeing five new Avatar books released in 2025 and 2026! DK, a British publishing company known for its illustrated reference books, previously worked with Lightstorm to release several Avatar titles focused around the release of The Way of Water, and it appears they plan to continue this trend with the upcoming release of Fire and Ash this December.
The first two books, an updated version of The World of Avatar as well as Avatar: Fire and Ash Ultimate Sticker Book, are set to drop in November shortly before the new movie’s premiere, while two of the three new books will be released in tandem with Fire and Ash in December. The Making of Avatar: The Creation of Pandora will explore the more behind the scenes operations associated with producing movies in the world of Avatar, while Avatar: Fire and Ash: The Visual Dictionary will follow its Way of Water predecessor in enlightening fans with more in-depth insights about the new characters and settings that Fire and Ash introduces.
The final book, the Avatar Bioluminescent Colouring Book, is set to be published in early 2026.
